This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are. It covers this website (linkhumans.com), our client services, The Employer Branding Podcast, and the public data we analyze for the Employer Brand Index.
1. Data you give us
When you fill in a form on this site, book a call, email us, or sign up for the free Employer Brand Snapshot, we collect what you provide: typically your name, work email address, company, job title and your message. If you become a client, we also hold the information needed to run the engagement and invoice for it.
Why: to reply to you, to deliver what you asked for, and to manage our relationship with you and your organization. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running our business and responding to enquiries, or performance of a contract where you or your organization is a client.
Marketing: we may send occasional emails about research, podcast episodes or the Employer Brand Index to people who have enquired or worked with us. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing info@linkhumans.com.
2. Data we collect automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser). This relies on cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to control them.
3. Public data analyzed for the Employer Brand Index
The Employer Brand Index measures how employers are perceived by analyzing commentary that people have already made public, for example on review sites, forums and social platforms. We process this data in aggregate to score employers on 16 attributes of employer brand. We do not use it to identify, profile or contact individuals, and we do not provide raw commentary or individual-level data to clients.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest, and that of our clients, in understanding employer brand, balanced against the fact that the content was made public by its authors. If you believe we hold a public comment you made and want it excluded from our analysis, contact us and we will consider the request.
4. Podcast guests
If you appear on The Employer Branding Podcast, we hold your name, job title, employer, contact details and the recording. The episode and accompanying article are published with your consent and remain available after publication.
5. Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers to run our business, including HubSpot (CRM and email), Google (analytics and workspace), Mailchimp (email), our hosting provider, and our accountants. They process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
Some providers are outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally we rely on the UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep data
Enquiries and marketing contacts: until you ask us to stop, or three years after our last contact. Client records: for the duration of the engagement and seven years afterwards for tax and legal purposes. Analytics data: as set by Google Analytics retention settings (currently 14 months).
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, object to our processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Email info@linkhumans.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Security
We keep personal data on access-controlled systems and limit access to the people who need it to do their job.
9. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
